Inventory Control Lead
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct Physical inventory location management
Communicate with fellow Leads and Department Manager regarding requirements and department objectives
Implementing and evaluating inventory controls to track and account for all facilities’ inventory and ensure optimization of procedures.
Implement procedures and notification policies for proper disposal.
Coordinating with the management for weekly dispensary order fulfillment needs and executing fulfillment of these orders with the Production Department.
Development of shipping manifests for dispensary orders to be used in the inventory department.
Ensuring product stock is adequate for direct customer demand and all distribution channels.
Using software to monitor and maintain records, including operating procedures, inventory records, audit records, storage records, delivery records, and transfer records.
Maintaining documents with each day’s beginning balance, ending inventory; and monthly inventory counts.
Reviewing recorded daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
Reviewing levels of materials with Inventory Specialists to identify shortages.
Placing orders to replenish stock, avoiding excess surplus or insufficiencies.
Proper storage, labeling, tracking, and reporting of inventory.
Reporting to upper management on stock levels, issues, etc.
Management of remediation of failed material
Development, review, coach, and manage inventory team including lead, supervisor, and tech positions.
Qualifications and Education
Must be at least 21 years old.
BS/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field, or relevant qualifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar position.
Working knowledge of inventory management software
Working knowledge of cannabis inventory management systems preferred.
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical with strong math skills.
Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts.
Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension).
Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:
General office environment.
Extended computer usage.
Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and
Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.

WORK SCHEDULE: All weekdays, including weekends, are covered by Inventory Control staff. Specific schedules will be assigned based on areas covered and the needs of the business/department. Overtime is anticipated on an as needed basis. Employee will be scheduled holiday work -- most holidays, Full time, minimum 40hrs/wk.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in business preferred
2 years prior experience in an Inventory Control Specialist role is required.
Must be able to pass a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Office of Medical Marijuana Use Level 2 Background Screening
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of inventory software and Excel
Possesses knowledge of the company's range of products and services.
Possesses physical strength necessary to unload and restock supplies.
Attention to Detail and Strong Organizational Skills
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Requires the ability and capability to work indoors and outdoors when it comes to plant counts and other job duties. Will be exposed to the elements on a regular basis (heat, humidity, sun, rain; standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending, etc.)
