Content Specialist, HR and Recruitment, 33 Lewis Rd United Health Services is seeking a Content Specialist, HR and Recruitment to join our Human Resources 02 department at 33 Lewis Rd in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $28.93 - $44.57 per hour, depending on experience. Overview The Content Specialist, HR and Recruitment is responsible for writing and creating content related to Human Resources functions and priorities, including recruitment marketing collateral and employee communications. Reporting to the Manager, HR Content and Platforms, the Content Specialist will help execute HR content strategies and recruitment marketing plans. Deliverables could include written articles, marketing emails, advertising copy, employee/provider testimonials, social media posts for LinkedIn, text for websites or third-party recruitment platforms (Glassdoor, Indeed), videos, collateral for career fairs, and photos. This is an on-site position that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong writing skills, commitment to quality execution, and the ability to develop trusting working relationships with various stakeholders. Qualifications Job Responsibilities Talent acquisition and candidate experience support: Work with Talent Acquisition team to develop collateral employee/provider recruitment; write careers website content; write marketing email content; capture photos to support written materials; organize photo and video shoots with vendors and department leaders; manage employment social media properties like Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn; partner with Marketing/Communications to create recruitment content for broader social media reach; write short advertising copy (display); write SEM and SEO-friendly content based on keyword research and best practices; research and write copy for third-party employer profiles with local organizations (colleges, Binghamton Chamber, etc.); write portions of job postings including department descriptions, benefits eligibility, boiler-plate copy, and work schedule details; write or edit content for text message and email recruitment sourcing campaigns Pipeline and HR COE support: Write and create content for Education Incentive Programs and other pipeline initiatives; edit content created by HR subject-matter-experts in Total Rewards, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Talent, Performance, and Organization Effectiveness; support content creation for internal programs like the Referral Bonus Program, New Employee Welcome, various onboarding messages and materials, Workday Help templates, award programs, annual HR events, and others Content strategy for candidate/employee/provider experience: Recommend and execute various pieces of written and produced content for regular communications as needed (HR Update, Leadership Updates, Workday); contribute ideas to the HR content calendar for internal communications, including plans for sustainable execution; collect and create assets in support of the UHS Employer Value Proposition that can be repurposed across platforms Required Skills Interviewing and research to inform written/produced materials Managing multiple production schedules Exceptional attention to detail Excellent writing and communication skills Knowledge of multi-platform writing/best practices (ad copy, social media, long-form features, short-form testimonials, print materials, etc.) Preferred Skills Video production and photography Experience with Indeed/Glassdoor native and paid content Understanding of recruitment marketing and candidate experience funnel Comfortable with graphic design based on templates Writing for on- and off-page SEO best practices Experience working with employer value propositions and employer brand activation Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing/advertising, or a related field in human resources At least 5 years of content creation/writing experience Demonstrated success in published writing and content production Preferred Qualifications 5 years of writing for recruitment or internal brand communications Experience working in healthcare or a similar industry About United Health Services United Health Services is a not-for-profit healthcare system serving more than 500,000 people in Upstate New York’s Southern Tier region.
