BASIC JOB FUNCTION :
Program Supervisor II is responsible for providing clinical oversight and assisting with programmatic leadership for ABLE’s new 24/7/365 Mobile Crisis Care System, which serves the North Lawndale Community.
Mobile Crisis Care was developed to provide an effective, immediate response to individuals presenting with a mental health crisis anywhere, anytime. Mobile Crisis Care teams are dispatched into the community, at any location where the person is experiencing a non-violent crisis . Crisis services include assessment, treatment, stabilization, and linkage to appropriate services, diverting individuals from unnecessary legal system involvement and/or hospitalization.
Program Supervisor II’s key duties & responsibilities : (1) supervise therapists and clinical case managers; (2) supervise the Crisis Intervention and Stabilization services rendered; (3) assist in the supervision of the mobile crisis response teams; (4) ensure adequate shift coverage; and (5) serve as direct-care support if there are any staff shortages. Program Supervisor II will have primary oversight of the HIPAA compliant web-based mental health system used to store and track client information. Also, Program Supervisor II will coordinate and/or organize relevant staff trainings.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, experiences, skills, and/or ability required to perform the job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Assist with the ongoing development of the Crisis Care System infrastructure at ABLE.
2. Knowledge of SAMSHA’s National Guidelines of Behavioral Health Crisis Care System.
3. Employ a solution-focused approach in decision-making while interacting with others.

4. Collaborate and liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, including law enforcement officers, hospitals, medical providers, etc., in the planning, provision, and evaluation of services.
5. Working knowledge of and experience in community-based mental health.
6. Current knowledge of behavioral health principles and best practices, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care.
7. Maintain ongoing communication with Project Director regarding the provision of services, their effectiveness, and recommendations to enhance service delivery, as necessary.
8. Assist Project Director with staff scheduling to ensure adequate program coverage.
9. Ensure the completion and timely submission of billable services/insurance claims.
10. Supervisory sign off is required for all billable services.
11. Actively participate in and/or lead weekly team meetings, case presentations and individual and group supervision.
12. Develop, coordinate, and/or conduct trainings for employees’ professional development and required certifications.
13. Oversee (and regularly shadow) supervisees in the provision of crisis intervention, with the goal of immediate symptom reduction and restoration to a more stable level of functioning.
14. Review and ensure the fidelity of all direct-care services.
15. On-call after-hours responsibilities, as required.
16. Complete the IM CANS (Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths) and the IM-CAT (Illinois Medicaid Crisis Assessment Tool) within 30 days of employment.
17. Provide advocacy for clients and maintain communication with providers, as appropriate.
18. Devise reports, compiling qualitative and quantitative data relevant to the required performance measures and standards.
19. Participate in agency and community meetings, as assigned.
20. Assist Project Director with file reviews, as assigned.
21. Other duties as assigned by Project Director or CEO/President.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Three [3] years post-masters experience in social services or health care setting (preferred).
2. At least two [2] years supervisory experience.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience including direct staff management, supervision, and/or licensure supervision/certification.
4. Three or more years of experience working with populations exposed to trauma; establishing relationships with community supportive service providers; and coordinating service delivery.
5. Strong knowledge of unique challenges associated with individuals experiencing 
homelessness, post-traumatic stress disorder, drug and/or alcohol abuse, 
disabilities, and/or other mental health issues.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

7. Demonstrated solid track record of leading with excellence and utilizing evidence-based counseling and supervision techniques.
8. Knowledge of federal, state, local, and private social service regulations, and compliance.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Data Entry software, and telehealth platforms.
10. Excellent time management skills.
11. Ability to work non-traditional hours, as needed.
12. Crisis experience, a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
1. Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work.
2. Licensure: LCSW (Clinical Licensure in the State of Illinois).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
1. Understand that work may be stressful due to consumer and environmental trauma.
2. A valid driver’s license, current car insurance and access to a motor vehicle is required.
3. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
4. Ability to lift 10-15 lbs.
