JOB SUMMARY

A Production Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising hourly employees, setting shift/daily goals, managing inventory, driving success in all KPI’s and/or key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, etc.), driving performance improvements in managing cost and continuous improvement, and team member development at Temple, TX locations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organizes personnel assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements

• Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions

• Assist in developing and orientate new team members

• Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives

• Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities

• Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost

• Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members

• Collaborate cross functionally other departments and organizational stakeholders

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor Degree Required

4 Year degree from an accredited College focused on business management preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum/No Experience

WORKING CONDITIONS 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT:  Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
