Translator Job Summary Provide simultaneous technical/non-technical interpreting from one language to another (English & Korean), rendering oral translation of material at the time it is being spoken during group and/or individual trainings, mostly in a production setting but including office. Translate documents and other materials, including reading and rewriting technical documents as needed. Always ensure the meaning and context of oral and written interpretation are maintained. Responsibilities: • Responsible for listening, understanding and translating spoken statements interchangeably in Korean and English. • Speak, relay messages, clearly, accurately and quickly • Translate a variety of material, particularly technological and engineering documentation, from Korean to English (and vice-versa) in various production and business settings. • Organize translated material and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. • Retain and develop specialist knowledge on technical areas of translation. • Compile technical terms and information terms into glossaries and terminology. • Apply cultural knowledge to produce a meaningful translation of the original message. Qualifications: • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. • Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines. • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without facing distraction such as noise. • Advanced interpersonal skills to ease the process of working with others. • Possess problem solving skills • Stand and walk minimum 6-8 hours per day. • Able to sit, squat, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, kneel and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential functions. • Ability to work in restricted spaces. • Ability to climb and work off the ground for extended periods of time. • Ability to use all applicable PPE including but not limited to hard hats, safety toe shoes, safety
