The ESL Teacher will guide English Language Learners towards gaining knowledge and skills in order to become productive citizens by increasing English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Some of the job responsibilities could include:
Screening Home Language Surveys
Conducting assessment of eligibility in the ESL program
Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interest, and abilities of students, and provides both social and emotional support for English Language Learners.
Candidates should have the English as a Second Language PreK-12 Endorsement (490)
