~~• Prepare hardware for power transformer for testing; prepare wire connections, prepare cable connections, mechanical assembly and prepare a “safe” test environment.

• Use available test procedures and assembly data to prepare setup. Assist in testing, electrical, and mechanical disassembly of each transformer unit after test completion.
• Prepare power transformer for tests; material staging and assembly per check sheet, complete needed MRP/ERP computer transactions, basic computer data entry.
• Change transformer configuration as required to complete additional/next test; read shop paperwork, drawings, mechanical/electrical assembly, staging tooling, staging parts/subassemblies, etc.
• Maintain test equipment calibration and calibration systems.
• Operate cranes, power lifts and other material moving equipment as required.
• Support and assist the Quality/Production areas as needed.
• Perform work under the guidance and direction of the Test Lab Engineer

~~• Two-year Associate’s Degree from a recognized school in electrical or related technical field plus minimum one year experience in testing or utilities or equivalent education and experience.

• Multiple years’ experience as Electrician or service technician (high voltage equipment and/or utility industry preferred)
• Developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Developed math and electrical engineering skills.
