POSITION DESCRIPTION
HGL has a current opening for a mid-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist in the Bay Area/Oakland, CA. This position will support multi-year U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers environmental projects primarily in the Western U.S. area. Projects commonly involve investigation and remediation of sites with groundwater and soil impacted by emerging contaminants (PFAS), chlorinated solvents, and petroleum compounds as well as abandoned mine lands.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for office work under the direction of individual project managers. Must be a team-oriented person willing to conduct a variety of field assignments and write cohesive report sections on the evaluation of investigative and remediation results. This position has the potential for up to 30% travel within the U.S. (predominantly in western and midwestern U.S.) as needed to support projects.
