Certis Solutions is seeking a Junior Staff Geologist in the Fresno area with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. This a great opportunity for the right candidate seeking to be mentored by senior environmental and geology professionals.
Pay Range: $30-40/hr
Must Have Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree in Geology or similar Earth Science from an ABET accredited university
o HAZWOPER 40
o 1-4 years of experience in the geotechnical field
o Valid California Driver's License; Have and maintain a clean driving record
o Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
o Ability to lift and transport for short distances a minimum of 50 pounds
o Willing to travel to project locations throughout California, but primarily in the Sacramento area and surrounding counties
Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities
o Responsible for collections, documentation, analysis and reporting of field data.
o Construction observation and testing for compliance with construction plans and specifications.
o Field sampling, geotechnical/geological logging of bore holes and test pits/trenches, and landslide investigations.
o Fault studies/investigation (including trenching), computer drafting, report writing, task management
o General support as needed for mid- and senior-level engineers and geologists.
