Job Summary:
Hyatt Place Florence/ Downtown is seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook Dinner PM Hours. This is a full-time hourly position in our hospitality and restaurant department. As a Cook Dinner PM Hours, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dinner meals for our guests at the hotel's restaurant. This is an individual contributor role where you will work closely with our team to ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience during their stay. This position is located in Florence, South Carolina.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $12 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to our full-time employees, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement within our company.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook dinner meals according to menu specifications and recipes
• Ensure that all dishes are made to the highest quality standards and are visually appealing
• Maintain inventory and stock levels, keeping track of ingredients and notifying management when supplies are low
• Oversee food presentation, garnishing, and portion control
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Follow all sanitation and food safety regulations and procedures
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and work area
• Assist with menu planning and development as needed
• Attend and participate in training and team meetings as required
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be available to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
