Andaz San Diego is hiring a GENERAL MANAGER for The Rooftop by STK.

In this role you will have the opportunity to curate the direction of our venue as we embrace our iconic history and reinforce our standing as the best rooftop in the Gaslamp district.

This is a salaried position and requires someone who has recently run a beverage program and managed a team, high volume experience is a plus.

The Rooftop by STK General Manager Responsibilities may include :

• Reporting to the Andaz GM and working closely with Executive Chef, Banquets Director, Marketing, and other hotel departments
• Leading and directing the daily operations of the venue and consistently delivering an exceptional guest and employee experience
• Hiring, training, development, and promotion of team members
• Leading front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) teams while fostering our Culture of Care
• Driving sales, managing costs, and growing the business. This includes developing and implementing creative strategies for revenue enhancement and profitability
• Managing all beverage inventories and beer, liquor, and wine vendor relationships
• Planning and managing all Rooftop activations, special events, and holiday functions
• Developing budgets and marketing plans while ensuring their success
• Maintaining high energy, a positive attitude, and a casual but professional appearance

The salary range for this position is $66,100 to $95,700. This is the pay range for this position that Andaz San Diego reasonably expects to pay.

Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

• Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
• A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• Candidates should be detail oriented and organized with refined time management skills
• Candidates should possess proven leadership skills
• Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge and a thorough understanding of restaurant service
• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Bar / Lounge Manager preferred
• Must possess the following strengths : high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
