HW Staffing is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Hanover, NH

We are hiring safety-focused Construction Equipment Operators to assist our utility construction crews by digging, spreading, and leveling dirt, gravel, or sand; and mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete and asphalt.

Hiring Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 years’ related experience
  • State Hoisting license or other applicable state license
  • OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company-provided online training)
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License and DOT medical card
  • Able to pass written tasks and associated Operator Qualification tests when applicable
  • Ability to read and write work documents in English
  • Can be qualified by an approved and competent company Operator on at least one piece of equipment from the following: Telehandler, Off-Road Haul Truck, Mini Loader or Skid Steer, and all attachments.

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating power equipment to excavate and move earth and other materials on congested sites with multiple hazards (traffic, overhead wires, obstacles, uneven surfaces, etc.). As an Equipment Operator, you will regularly inspect and maintain equipment and consistently exercise proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment. The Equipment Operator locates utilities and other buried lines before digging, maintains the equipment center of gravity while handling a load to avoid tipping accidents, and maintains safe slopes and proper barricading, trenching, and shoring to ensure proper safety standards are met. In addition, the Equipment Operator may perform other machine and non-machine tasks such as removing forms, placing the pipe in the trench, jackhammering, and tamping.
