POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Recruitment and Admission to lead our recruitment and admission efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to attract, engage, and enroll qualified candidates while optimizing the recruitment process. The Director of Recruitment and Admission will work closely with various stakeholders, including the admissions team, marketing department, and IT personnel, to ensure a seamless process for incoming students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Identifies and develops long term goals and strategic plans for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and admission process.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of Recruitment and Admission and appropriate follow-up activities resulting in yield.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures and programs which enhance admission, recruitment, and yield.
• Implements outreach and recruitment efforts and the achievement of university enrollment goals.
• Oversees the admission process.
• Develops, monitors, and analyzes management reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield objectives, forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Leads the development of promotional materials related to HT.
• Utilize Salesforce and CRM technology to streamline and automate the recruitment process, from lead generation to enrollment.
• Works closely with the Director of Financial Aid and Records and Registration to ensure enrollment is maximized to prospective students.
• Collaborate with the marketing department to develop compelling content and messaging that resonates with prospective students and promotes the institution's brand.
• Represents the university at various recruitment events on and off campus including all key yield days, high schools, and college fairs.
• Speaks publicly to groups on and off campus.
• Counsels’ prospective students and families regarding the admission process
• Oversees implementation of various recruitment and admission related events and activities
• Must be available to travel; overnight travel required; reliable transportation required; performing other associated duties as assigned by the Vice President of Enrollment Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-7 years professional level experience preferred.
• Recruitment, sales, or marketing experience
• Knowledge of the University and its policies, procedures, history, mission, and curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to communicate verbally and in written correspondence.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with all members of the University family.
• Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing strategies and techniques, with experience in designing and implementing effective campaigns.
• Must be able to travel.
• Commitment to the mission of the University.

SALARY RANGE:

60,000 - 65,000 annually, plus benefits

Founded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education. The University is an independent, liberal arts, church-related, historically black institution located on a 23-acre tree-lined campus near downtown Austin, Texas. Undergraduate, four-year degrees in business, education, the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences are awarded.
