POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative High School Science/Physics/Biology/Chemistry Teacher to fill a vacancy in the district. The program is supported by a teaching team that works collaboratively to develop and implement curriculum.

Position Type: High School Science Teacher

Location: Lakeland High School

Salary: Per HVEA Contract

Reports To: Principal

Status: School Year 2024-2025

Start Date: 24/25 School Year

Closing Date: Until filled

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a (DI) Integrated Science and/or (DE) Physics endorsement (DA) Biology (DC) Chemistry preferred
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred

LANGUAGE AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
