Hunting Group is Hiring a Junior Accountant Near Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior accountants with all financial operations.
- Posting of monthly accruals and other journal entries as required.
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the analysis of financial statement components as needed.
- Assist with daily banking activities and reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Ensure accounting and reporting processes comply with applicable internal control requirements.
- Be an active member of the team; complete ad-hoc requests and be flexible in completing any task.
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Education and Training
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- 0-3 years of work experience.
- D365 Knowledge is a plus.
Expectations
- Proven working experience in accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multitasking skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel.
