Who We Are

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation develops and manages service-enriched, inclusive residential communities, ensuring access to affordable, secure, quality housing that creates the foundation for our residents to grow and thrive.

An industry leader since 1981, CEDC has built 45 affordable housing developments totaling close to 1,700 ownership and rental units. It currently has an ownership interest in 1,137 rental units that it manages.CEDC has an annual operating budget of $6,750,000 and multiple projects in the early stages of development.

What You Will Do

  • Provide program oversight as part of CEDC’s program leadership team to ensure the utmost quality of services and strategic leadership for the organization and its mission.
  • Further CEDC’s mission by developing both staff and programs through promoting innovation and the implementation of best practices.
  • Hire, supervise, train and manage the development staff.
  • Mentor and develop Associate Directors by creating Leadership Development Plans that  identify concrete ways to expand their capacity and expertise.
  • Oversee and evaluate clinical case consultations to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Develop and manage a robust clinical internship program with local universities.
  • Ensure appropriate data collection and reporting as required by funders.
  • Utilize available data and current thinking within homeless services and supportive housing to inform program development.
  • Assist with the evaluation of new funding opportunities and proposal development.
  • Maintain effective relationships with partners and develop key strategic partnerships.
  • Foster relationships in the community with a variety of stakeholders including local service  providers, government entities, and community partners.
  • Participate in regional, area or other planning meetings to serve as a spokesperson for Cabrillo EDC  as necessary.

What We Want From You

  • Master’s Degree in a field of study eligible for licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC).
  • Current and active registration or clinical licensure with the California BBS (i.e., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, ACSW, AMFT, or APCC).
  • 5 relevant experience including 2 years of experience with building/managing teams and overseeing large personnel operations.
  • Must be bilingual (verbal and written) in English/Spanish.
  • Familiarity with psychosocial assessments, individual and group therapy, short-term evidence-based counseling, crisis intervention, government contract reporting, and evidence-based practices effective with chronically homeless individuals.  
  • Prior experience supervising licensed staff.
  • Thorough understanding of available local and social services resources.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (advanced skills in Excel) and database systems such as HMIS or HER.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License.
  • CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and completed Tuberculosis Test
  • Availability to travel to local service areas, flex schedule when needed and assist with after-hours telephone call rotation.
