Hunter Industries Brand is Hiring a Learning and Development Manager Near San Marcos, CA

About This Opportunity: 

The Learning and Development Manager oversees the design and implementation of learning strategies, manages training programs, and fosters the growth of employees’ skills and knowledge. They assess the training needs of the organization, develop training materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.

*This role is performed on site at our San Marcos, CA headquarters.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the Learning and Development team members and is responsible for hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Creates and executes learning strategies that align with our organizational goals to maximize the business impact of learning.
  • Responsible for overseeing the team in the design, development, and delivery of training programs virtually and in-person across the organization. Ensures that training methods, content, software, systems, and equipment meet our business needs.
  • Manages the assessment and execution of the workflow process of the Learning and Development team. Aligns the development needs with workflow requirements to optimize productivity of the team members.
  • Partners and leverages input from business managers and other stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure learning and development processes and programs align with the organization’s overall goals.
  • Keeps up to date with developments in the field of learning and development and incorporates new techniques and technologies into training programs. Ensures that our training curriculum is reviewed annually to incorporate any relevant changes.
  • Supports the planning of, and adherence to, the Learning and Development operating and labor budgets. 

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study.

Experience Required and Preferred:

  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience in Human Resources required.
  • Minimum five years in a supervisory role required.

  • Project management skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and implement projects autonomously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically as necessary to anticipate needs and outcomes.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to coordinate efforts with direct reports, and to consult with business partners throughout cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs while maintaining a tenacity for delivering results.
  • Written and verbal English communication skills necessary to effectively influence and interact with others.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite, Human Resources Information Systems, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $98,885 to $147,380.

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
