Hunter Ford in Marion, Indiana is currently seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager! In this important role, you will oversee the successful operation of the entire dealership from sales to service and everything in between. The right candidate will be a true leader, committed to growing the business by increasing market share and developing loyal customers. The General Manager is expected to uphold high ethical standards, promote excellent customer service, and create a positive sales and service environment. Job Description/Duties:
General:
· Exemplify the core values of the company.
· Set the standard for professional appearance, discipline, positive attitude, and ethics.
· Manage departmental progress each day and keep managers motivated.
· Maintain Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reporting/Controls/Meeting Cadence.
· Ensure management teams know their Yearly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Goals.
· Provide guidance, support, constructive criticism, and motivation to ensure growth and success.
· Hire, mentor, and monitor the performance of department managers.
· Identify coaching needs and promote training opportunities.
· Be biggest promoter and advocate of CSI/NPS in the dealership; Take corrective action as needed to drive CSI in the dealership.
· Maintain a positive and ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, lenders, vendors, and customers.
· Hold Weekly Managers Meeting – with action items related to goal attainment and any operational/personnel shortfalls.
· Walk Property/Facility daily to maintain clean and professional operation.
· Monitor all employee purchases to ensure compliance and fairness.
· Develop and manage an effective advertising and marketing plan.
· Ensure target revenues are met or exceeded and controllable expenses are appropriate for each department.
· Keep everyone busy – idle time is lost opportunity!
· Be the ‘buck stops with me’ contact for all employee and customer issues.

Sales:
· Attend daily sales meetings
· Manage & Communicate Marketing Plan and Control Cost vs ROI
· Oversee VIP and Sold Orders and ensure dealer trades are controlled
· Hit Factory Sales/Training Objectives
Fixed Operations:
· Ensure proper staffing
· Drive a Customer Satisfaction Mindset and meet NPS objectives
· Hit Factory and Company Budget/Objectives
· Periodically review work dispatch in the shop for fairness
Parts: in this is a large wholesale parts operation:
· Drive parts wholesale growth – address downturn in any B2B accounts
· Review annual parts inventory and coordinate with accounting
