Humble Crew is Hiring a Senior Manager of Product Near Englewood, NJ

If so, we want you to be a part of our team as a Senior Manager of Product! This multifaceted role demands analytical prowess, a creative mind, and strategic acumen to oversee the product process, create market-leading products and help the marketing team implement impactful strategies. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of success in developing and launching products in the retail industry, with a particular emphasis on Amazon in the United States and abroad. Your skills and experience will be instrumental in helping our company achieve its growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from ideation to production to onboarding into different sales channels and marketing on eCommerce websites, particularly Amazon.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop new products and oversee product development with our factories in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
  • Partner with Humble Crew’s overseas global sourcing team to ensure that the product development cycle is on schedule and quality controls are met.
  • Review all product samples and own the entire product development process, product cycle tracker, all SOPs, and timelines.
  • Project manage all aspects of the product cycle including ideation, factory communications, production, product launch, and all timelines that ensure the product goes from an idea to the marketplace.
  • Utilize Amazon best practices for photoshoots and video sessions and oversee all aspects of outside agencies responsible for content creation online.
  • Partner with marketing team and outside agencies to ensure copy and keywords reflect best practices.
  • Conduct market research regularly at top e-Commerce and brick and mortar retail channels, especially Amazon and Walmart, and identify trends in design and pricing in related departments.
  • Create a library of products and materials to expedite the development of future products and maintain brand consistency.
  • Utilize online reviews and customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and product ratings.
  • Collaborate with marketing team and designers to develop engaging online content, including images, videos, product descriptions, product launches, and email marketing.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and preferences, and tailor product development and marketing strategies accordingly in online and offline channels.
  • Use a “profit-focused” product development strategy that reduces packaging footprints while providing equal or greater value to the customer.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to support our growth objectives for DTC/3P/1P, increase market share, and elevate brand awareness.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Review and approve digital art, content, media, and packaging for various e-commerce sites and company webpage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in, business management, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • 5 years of experience in product development, and experience in the retail industry is required.
  • Strong understanding of the full product development cycle.
  • Strong understanding of business principles, including financial management, strategic planning, and market analysis.
  • Experience with developing and executing go-to-market strategies, with a focus on the retail industry and children's furniture customers.
  • Proficiency in market research tools, data analytics, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with working with factories overseas.
  • Experience with packaging design is required.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and other digital editing platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Be able to carry furniture that is at least 25 lbs for sample assembly.
