We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Nurse to join our healthcare team at a major hospital system in Edison, New Jersey. As a Med/Surg Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care on our medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and possess strong clinical skills to ensure the well-being of our diverse patient population.

1. Patient Care:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting observations and interventions.

• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.

2. Clinical Expertise:

• Demonstrate proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

• Stay updated on the latest medical-surgical nursing practices and technologies.

• Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.

3. Communication:

• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• Provide education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other nurses, healthcare professionals, and support staff.

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences.

5. Adherence to Policies and Procedures:

• Adhere to all healthcare facility policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

• Valid RN license in the state of New Jersey.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med/Surg Nurse.

• BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
