Summary DescriptionThe Junior Software Developer, as part of the Football Information Systems team, is responsible for the development and maintenance of database driven and stand-alone software applications for all football-related aspects of the organization.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with current technologies to create and modify a wide variety of web applicationsAssist the coaching, scouting, football administration, strategy/analytics departments through continuing development and maintenance of existing centralized player evaluation/football management systemWork with all football-related departments throughout the year to provide custom reports, tools and datasets for information pertaining to college and pro players, the NFL draft and free agency, as well as ad-hoc statistical requestsIdentify areas for modification in existing applications and subsequently developing these modificationsAdditional duties when and where neededEducation, Qualities, and Required SkillsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent fieldExperience with web and software developmentKnowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologiesThe ability to problem solve and learn modern technologies quicklyEffective communication skills – both written and verbalAbility to work independently or collaboratively and multi-task efficientlyComfortable with a full-stack environmentFamiliarity with an object-oriented programming language such as: C#, Java, C , etc.Knowledge of database concepts and SQL and their relation to the development life cycleFamiliarity with version control tools/software such as: Azure Repos, Git Hub, or SVNFamiliarity with Football, though formal experience and knowledge is not requiredAdditional Preferred ExperienceComfortable developing in Microsoft Visual Studio (2022)Experience with the .NET Framework (v8.0)Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (and newer)Azure DevOps familiarity and experience
