Requirements

• Design, develop and support software applications.

• Implement code, in accordance with best practices and coding guidelines.

• Research and stay abreast of current technology trends, functionality and implementation relevant to the corporate applications and technology.

• Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of insurance business functions.

• Identify and reduce development risks, performance problems and downtime.

• Maintain a high level of customer support.

• Performs other related duties assigned.

• Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must have either a BS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

• Solid knowledge with web and Windows application development, database development/design and design of complex multi-tier applications.

• Ability to quickly learn architecture and code of existing applications.

• Experience and/or desire to convert legacy applications to a new technology and architecture is a plus.

• 3-years with .Net, ASP.Net, ADO.NET, C#, XML, JavaScript/JQuery,

• Experience with Entity Framework and MVC ideal,

• 3-years with SQL Server including stored procedures, functions and schema design,

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), BizTalk, IIS, Adobe Live Cycle Designer, Web API and VB6 (only for the sake of converting to .Net) are a plus.
