Marketing Content Manager

Position Profile

Humacyte, Inc. is bringing to market a once in a generation scientific technology platform, bioengineering readily available and universally implantable product opportunities focused on improving lives of patients and transforming the practice of medicine. Located in Durham, NC, the company develops and manufactures acellular tissues for the treatment of diseases and conditions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The company’s innovative technology supports tissue repair, reconstruction, and replacement while overcoming limitations in existing standards of care. Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Humacyte is also focused on the development of future markets such as pediatric heart surgery, delivery of cellular therapies, and multiple other novel cell and tissue systems.

We are looking for additional colleagues to continue to build our expanding team. Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.

Position Background:

We are searching for a Marketing Content Manager with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to join the marketing team and collaborate cross-functionally and with external vendors to drive brand awareness and support commercialization objectives pre- and post- launch. This role will be responsible for the planning, creating, publishing and promoting messaging content across digital and print media. The responsibilities will encompass:

  • Digital content creation and management including social media, website and digital campaigns.
  • Overseeing process or creating digital assets such as photos, surgeon training and other videos, and animations.
  • Copy and editing support for interviews/testimonials, presentations, advertising, and sales and marketing materials.
  • Material/content approval support.
  • Print and digital asset management.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Content Planning: Develop and maintain a marketing content calendar aligned with short-term and long-term marketing strategy for both digital and print initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Partner with Product Marketing, other internal stakeholders, and creative agencies to create engaging and informative content and copy for various platforms: corporate intranet, websites, social media, public relations, digital campaigns, sales enablement tools, trade shows, medical journal advertisements, marketing collateral, HQ communications, and more.
  • Editing / Quality Control: Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, tone, and branding guidelines. Ensure content deliverables are polished, on brand and on message.
  • Content Approvals: Support marketing team and coordinate with internal stakeholders to submit, edit, and gain necessary MLR approvals for marketing materials and other communications via formal processes and systems like Veeva PromoMats.
  • Publishing and Asset Management:
    • Manage external vendors and oversee the printing and print inventory.
    • Manage digital content on social media, corporate websites, and sales and marketing campaigns.
    • Organize digital assets.
  • Promotion: Implement strategies to promote content across various channels, increasing visibility and engagement via print and digital advertising, digital campaigns, sponsorships, and website updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics platforms to inform future content strategies and optimizations.


Special Competencies:

  • Excellent written, grammatical, and editorial skills and understanding of the various of channels and type of content based on goals & objectives. Additionally, great oral and listening skills.
  • Digital marketing proficiency:
    • Understand social media, websites, email communication, and other digital platforms.
    • Have detailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trends, including SEO and performance metrics and tools.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience to convert performance insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Understanding of WordPress for basic corporate website updates
  • Experience with basic graphics design, photography, and video editing a plus
  • Experience with Veeva PromoMats a plus

  • Adheres to company and facility specific policies and procedures, including SOP, training and meeting requirements

  • Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions
  • Ensures Humacyte or other required trainings/certifications are up to date
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner
  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent on the job experience, plus 4-6 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications or related field in a scientific or life sciences industry. (based on Radford Level)
  • Experience with content creation, copywriting and editing, photo & video editing, for website, social media, and print content.
  • Experience with media and file management.
  • Small company, high value product value proposition experience desirable, biologics experience a plus.
  • Experience with Veeva PromoMats a plus.
