Job Overview:
We are seeking a charismatic and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our nonprofit safety net clinic, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Spanish speaking is highly preferred.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the clinic
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person or department
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
-Comfortable working with LGBTQIA , HIV/Infectious disease, unstably housed, recovery, and minority patient populations
-Willingness to learn and grow with our organization
Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with phone systems
- Experience in event planning
- Knowledge of calendar management software
- Basic computer literacy
