Foodservice & Restaurant Supply is hiring a Sales and Operations Manager for their Dishwashing Department in Columbia, SC.
The Sales and Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving the growth and success of the dishwashing department. The individual in this position will oversee and coordinate various aspects of the business, including sales, staff management, and customer relations. The Sales and Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the department, growing the business, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
 
Foodservice & Restaurant Supply (recently acquired by Innovative Food Services Group), has proudly served the Carolinas for more than 60 years. We specialize in commercial kitchen equipment and offer a vast selection of restaurant, bar, and kitchen wares to our customers. FRS's fully stocked showrooms function as one regional provider with big buying power. And while our customers benefit from corporate practices such as central billing, central purchasing and the ability to quickly transfer inventory, they experience a friendly and courteous service that is uniquely local.
Job Responsibilities: 

Sales:

  • Take charge of departmental growth by implementing effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing training for sales staff at all locations to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Visit potential customers and assist salespeople in onboarding new clients.
  • Conduct site inspections for dishwasher installations and explain contracts to customers.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for new accounts and territories to expand the business.

Staff:

  • Manage the existing Dishwashing Department staff, ensuring they are performing efficiently and meeting targets.
  • Hire and onboard new Dishwashing Department staff as needed.
  • Provide ongoing technical training to the Dishwashing Department staff to keep them updated with the latest techniques and technologies.:
Operations:
  • Assign customers to routes in the most efficient manner to optimize productivity.
  • Handle dispatch and emergency calls promptly and effectively.
  • Assist technicians in addressing customer and mechanical issues as required.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition for efficient service delivery.
  • Review and coordinate parts inventory and ordering to ensure an adequate supply for operations.
  • Manage chemical inventory and ordering to support service needs.

Customer Relations:

  • Supervise and manage account management activities to maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues to ensure their concerns are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Oversee collections efforts to ensure timely and accurate payments from customers.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of management experience - Required
  • At least 3 years of experience in an operations role - Required
  • Willingness to learn essential sales functions to grow the business - Required 
  • Clean driving record and background - Required
  • Willingness to learn basic equipment repair - Required
  • Understanding of financial reports, budgeting, and cost management - Preferred
  • Technical or Mechanical Aptitude - Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field - Preferred
