Wittenbach Business Systems is hiring a Field Security Technician as a full-time job in Alexandria, VA!

As a Field Security Technician, you will service equipment specific to financial institutions including safes, locks, alarms, video systems, access controls, remotes, and CCTV systems. The Field Security Technician's responsibility is to respond to, diagnose, and resolve field service issues. They are required to demonstrate competency, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, as well as installation of new electronic equipment and components when necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Respond to dispatched service calls, reporting to the customer site within 8 working hours or less as dictated by customer contract 

• Utilize customer relations skills to maintain a highly professional image of our Field Service Representatives 

• Thorough knowledge of low voltage technology installation with a strong mechanical aptitude

• Proficient in the use of digital testing equipment including digital voltmeters, strong soldering skills, and basic computer skills 

• Repair equipment problems to completion by making the required adjustments or replacing defective parts as necessary 

• Servicing of all customer electronic and security equipment, including safes, alarms, video systems, access controls, locks, remotes, and CCTV systems 

• Extensive travelling within service area using company vehicle 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds or less frequently, 100 pounds or less occasionally, and able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces 

• Minimum 1 year of electronic security experience 

• Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent military or trade school preferred but not required
