RNAC-long term care

Currently seeking a compassionate and professional RNAC for a privately owned facility located near Lincoln, DE

Salary: $80K-$90K per year (depending on experience)

Responsibilities of the RNAC:

• Ensure accuracy of all sections of Multiple Data Set (MDS) coding to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care (CMI).
• Ensure accuracy of clinical paperwork (assessment and accompanying documentation) to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care.
• Nursing Educator: – Serve as a primary trainer to the nursing department to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and thorough. This requires high levels of in-person interfacing with both residents and employees.
• Nurse Management: Serves as a key member of the nursing leadership team to clinically manage the unit in order to maximize patient-centered outcomes. This includes engagement in leadership standups and influence within interdisciplinary teams.
• Case management w/ managed care (maximize therapy and nursing services provided to residents in order to maximize patient-centered outcomes)
• Manage clinical and financial record keeping and dissemination of these records to appropriate payers. This includes overseeing UMR reviews and any appeals processes.
• Take joint ownership of care conferences with social workers
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements of the RNAC:

• Must have a Delaware RN license
• Must have at least 1 year of MDS experience
• Must have experience with case management
• Must have experience as a RNAC in long term care
• Must have long term care/skilled nursing experience
• Must have the ability to work with all departments and is a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
