Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association's (HVCPA) Early Childhood Center, a preschool and daycare center located in Brewster. This is a twelve month benefit-eligible position. Generous benefits and PTO and competitive compensation. Low cost health insurance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to provide psychological support within an educational setting.
Duties:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEP's) and individualized family services plans (IFSP's)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing behavioral or emotional challenges
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
- Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings and contribute to the development of academic and behavioral interventions
- Conduct research to enhance educational practices and support student success
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medical records management, and patient care
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
