**AV & Conferencing Support Specialist**

at Hudson River Trading New York, NY, United States Hudson River Trading is seeking an AV & Conferencing Support Specialist to join our People Operations team, a small but highly productive global group that is dedicated to the betterment of HRT by supporting our biggest asset, our People. The AV & Conferencing Support Specialist will help provide seamless and efficient technology experiences to HRTers both regularly and reliably.

Joining HRT as an AV & Conferencing Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily operation and support of AV (audio-visual) and UC (unified communications) technology in our New York City office. This requires extremely close teamwork and collaboration with your People Ops and Systems counterparts, as the synchronous communication between POps and HRTs other major teams is fundamental to running a people-first organization. The ideal candidate for this role will be accustomed to working (and thriving) in a fast-paced environment and should possess the following characteristics:

**Responsibilities**

* Provide technical support and coordination assistance for live and hybrid events

* Perform regular room checks and preventative maintenance on AV/UC equipment, documenting and escalating issues if necessary

* Serve as a resource for office-wide equipment and conferencing service questions (both reactively and proactively via Wiki/KB)

* Assist with new equipment evaluation and small builds/installs

* Deliver feedback on existing technology (pain points, user errors, etc)

* Respond to relevant support tickets and service requests

**Profile**

* Familiarity with *operation of* commercial audiovisual (AV) and unified communications (UC) systems with control processors, touch panels, microphones, video-wall displays, matrix switchers, cameras, VTC codecs, audio DSPs, projectors, etc

* Ability to troubleshoot audio/video signal flow calmly and efficiently

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Desire to learn and solve problems, sometimes creatively

* Basic knowledge of networked systems, end-user hardware, and Windows/Mac platforms as they relate to AV/UC

* Flexibility to adapt to new systems and technologies as they emerge

* Ability to move or transport up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and crawl under installed furniture as needed

**The following skills are a plus:**

* Live broadcast video/audio operation

* Video/Audio editing and post-production

* Zoom Rooms operation and management

* Basic Crestron troubleshooting

* DSP operation (QSC, Biamp, Shure, BSS, etc)

* Live sound mixing, wireless frequency management, room EQ, etc
