Salary:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build a culture that develops and maintains high-quality, safe and nurturing environments where clients develop trusting and accepting relationships with staff.
  • Develop and adhere to budget through control and monitoring of staff levels of service and billing processes.
  • Recruit, supervise, manage, train and evaluate a team of staff.
  • Provide accountability for all documentation including charting, billing, incident reporting responses to external and internal audit processes, including corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team approach for effective delivery of clinical services to patients, and facilitate training in order to support the professional development and learning needs of staff.
  • Oversee crisis intervention procedures, including 24 hour/after-hour response to patients, and clinical risk management.
  • Conduct psychiatric interviews, mental status assessments, and diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and current mental health status of clients.
  • Manage client medication regimens; prescribe drugs and psychotropic medication treatments as indicated by diagnosis and lab results, and observe and document client’s response to pertinent medications.
  • Complete all necessary written reports in a timely manner and in accordance with program and agency standards.
  • Develop, track and analyze program outcome measures to identify and implement necessary changes in clinic structure, staffing, and policy and procedures and to ensure needs of clients are being met.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs with enhanced reimbursement rates, such as OMH funded opportunities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of community resources and current trends that affect mental health services.
  • Participation and oversight over grant-funded agency-wide mental health initiatives, including but not limited to Geriatric Mental Health Initiative (GMHI).
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office environment that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing & reaching. Occasional stooping, crouching, and kneeling. As well as travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Frequently read printed materials and computer screens. Frequently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, & other office equipment.
