Role Overview:
As a Business Analyst specializing in the banking sector with capital markets experience, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, defining, and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and profitability within the organization's capital markets division. Your responsibilities will include understanding business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and document business processes within the capital markets domain, including trade lifecycle, risk management, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement to drive efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, portfolio managers, risk managers, and IT teams, to gather and prioritize business requirements.
Translate business requirements into clear and comprehensive functional specifications and user stories for IT development teams.
Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies to assess the potential risks and benefits of proposed solutions.
Perform data analysis to support decision-making and validate business requirements.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that delivered solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to business users, including training and documentation as needed.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the capital markets domain.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector, with a focus on capital markets.
Strong understanding of capital markets products, processes, and regulations.
Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including process mapping, requirements gathering, and solution design.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are a plus.
