The HT Group is Hiring an Aruba IT Network Consultant Administrator Near Austin, TX
We are hiring a driven, results-oriented individual to support the network team. This individual's primary responsibilities will include managing the existing wireless aspect of our software-defined network infrastructure and expanding that infrastructure to other locations. This position is ON-SITE in Austin, TX. We cannot accept remote candidacy. We cannot sponsor a work visa at this time. Long term contract opportunity. The primary responsibilities of this position are:
Inventory of all current wireless infrastructure.
Status checks and issue resolution of any known issues currently in production before expanding to additional sites.
Expand the servicedefined network wireless infrastructure to additional campuses and sites.
Create, update, and maintain operational documentation.
Configuration, installation, and management of new access points.
Weekly status reports.
Daily monitoring of system status.
Resolution of tier1 generic network incidents and requests.
Resolution of tier2 and 3- technology-specific incidents and requests supporting wireless service.
REQUIRED WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 4 YEARS experience in: Operating, managing, and supporting CISCO and ARUBA wireless products.
Operating, managing, and supporting DNS.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver network solutions.
Configuring, implementing, and managing network devices.
Monitoring and troubleshooting complex network switches, routers, and firewalls.
Operating, managing, and supporting routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VXLAN.
Operating, managing, and supporting next-generation firewalls.
Operating, managing, and supporting wireless networks.
Operating, managing, and supporting DNS.
Operating, managing, and supporting software-defined networks.
Operating, managing, and supporting network access controls.
PreferredSkills/Experience 2 years experience complying with regulatory controls. Term of service: JUNE 2024 thru september 30, 2024 (May be extended into FY25). Work hours and location:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40hour work week).
Additional work hours may be required to support 24 hour Utility operations, including evenings, weekends, holidays, inclement weather, and emergency closures.
Infrastructure team members must be onsite a minimum of twice a week in MUELLER AND SOUTHEAST AUSTIN.
Provide support for all the sites supported by the Network LAN & Telecom team.
Other special requirements: Candidate or Vendor must provide fire-resistant personal protection equipment (PPE)
