We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator & HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role will encompass various HR generalist duties, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Coordination:

    • Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
    • Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees to ensure understanding and compliance with safety protocols.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and propose preventive measures.
    • Maintain records of safety-related incidents and generate reports for management review.
  • HR Generalist Duties:

    • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
    • Provide support and guidance to employees and management on HR-related matters, such as policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
    • Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Coordinate performance review processes and assist in developing performance improvement plans.
    • Facilitate employee training and development programs aligned with the company's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in HR and/or safety (e.g., SHRM-CP, CSP, OSHA 30-hour) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and employment laws.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
