HRPivot is Hiring a Director of Operations (Apparel Manufacturing) Near Vernon, CA

Spirit Clothing Company is an omnichannel apparel retailer that is looking for an exceptional, versatile, and high energy operations professional to shape and lead the day-to-day management of the wholesale and retail operating activities of the company, with the primary goals of driving operational efficiency and optimizing the output of our screen-printing and production process, maximizing the shipment of wholesale goods at the beginning of the start ship window, and all Ecomm orders within 24 hours of receipt. The individual will report directly to the EVP Operations & Supply Chain, but will also liaison regularly with Production, Sales, Planning, and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Gain a comprehensive understanding of our manufacturing and distribution operations-- organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing and team capability

· Lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and logistics.

· Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high product quality.

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to manufacturing operations.

· Overall responsibility for the safety and environmental performance of the facility, including employee OSHA training, environmental reporting and permitting, and ensuring that safety procedures (PPE, etc.) are followed by employees.

· Assures that all facilities and equipment are safe, well-maintained and operable for all employees.

· Reviews performance of suppliers, vendors and contractors with EVP Operations & Supply Chain on a regular basis.

· Control of direct labor and operating expenses in line with budget, including monitoring of overtime

· Knowledge of Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning is critical to success in this position.

· The role has direct oversight of Supply Chain Management which entails the planning, procurement and sourcing of all materials for production. Inventory management is a critical component to the management of the business and cash flow.

· The role has direct responsibility for all Quality Assurance functions to ensure that all products meet or exceed our quality expectations

· Creation of daily management report which highlights all of the Company’s screenprinting operations, warehouse activities, and KPIs to drive efficiency and increase profitability.

· Collaborate with Warehouse Manager on the selection of the optimal Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet business needs and objectives.

· Optimize the company’s SOPs for receipt of inventory, shipping of inventory and inventory control. Work closely with warehouse operations to ensure that SOPs are met via daily KPI monitoring.

· Monitor receipt of inbound goods with production departments; work with warehouse operations to ensure inbound goods are received timely in line with start date shipping expectations.

· Establish priority shipping list based upon timing of receipt/production of goods, start dates and through interfacing with the sales department.

· Partner with warehouse operations to shorten window for VAS services by optimizing internal processes and leveraging technology and systems.

· Work with Warehouse Manager to develop an inventory control function; work closely with individual to ensure issues such as short-shipments are properly researched and remedied timely.

· Provide in-month visibility and status updates on planned outbound shipments.

· Investigate any processes that are not in line with KPIs on a basis.

Qualifications:

· 5-10 years of relevant experience in apparel manufacturing.

· Experience in screenprinting is required

· Skilled collaborator

· Highly proficient in accounting systems & software; proficiency in excel a must.

· A2000 experience is a huge plus!

· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
