Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas, Westlake Village and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 

We are seeking a motivated and organized Electrical Engineer to join an existing integrated multi-disciplinary engineering team building advanced cryogenic test systems in support of HRL’s world-leading silicon quantum dot technologies. The individual will be responsible for the design, simulation, development, and testing of a wide variety of specialized electrical systems and components. The candidate must possess a strong foundation of functional skills to contribute to the analysis, design, and characterization of new hardware systems.

Essential Duties: 

Lead the design, test, and integration activities consisting of power, control, and analog/RF electronics.

Analyze technological solutions and determine research paths to improve product concepts.

Perform electrical simulations using analog circuit modeling and RF design tools.

Identify evaluation processes to quantify system block performance with instrumentation, tools, and techniques including oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, SMUs.

Deliver electronic products as part of a cross functional multidisciplinary team.

Capture design requirements for electrical products.

Regularly coordinate with product development teams, internal & external manufacturing suppliers, and engineering specialists.

Required Skills: 

Proficient in circuit simulation.

Strong working knowledge of analog and mixed signal electronics circuits, electronic test equipment & techniques, and safety.

Familiar with printed circuit board electronics manufacturing and design files.

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.

Proven organizational and creative problem solving skills.

Ability to work well in a creative team environment.

Possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Required Education:

BS in Electrical Engineering or advanced degree with 5 years of experience with analog, RF, mixed-signal, or power circuit design.

Experience with electronic component design cycles, printed circuit board assemblies, and electronic packaging technologies.

Special Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 bonus benefits.
