Veterinary Medical Assistant

Location: Metro – Detroit Area
Position: Full-Time
Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Humane Society works to help those who cannot speak for themselves. We provide humane care for unwanted, abused and injured animals in an environment where we work to prevent cruelty to animals, and place adoptable pets into good, permanent homes.
The Veterinary Technician will provide shots, perform medical and dental procedures and be able to recognize general medical conditions on intake.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five [5] years’ experience.
- Veterinary Technician Certification required.
- Must be able to work a five-day work schedule, Monday – Saturday.
- Strong writing skills preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Compassionate nature required.
- Works independently with minimal supervision in a no-kill shelter.
