The Job in a Nutshell:
The Real Estate Project Manager leads the Commercial Property Management Portfolio for MEDCO. This position manages general commercial property assets and vendor relationships, and conducts process reviews to drive long-term project success in the assigned portfolio. The Real Estate Project Manager (Commercial Real Estate Portfolio) ensures the financial viability of assigned portfolio. This role serves as MEDCO liaison with property managers on various financial and operational matters. This position develops and implements performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of economic development programs and initiatives for assigned portfolio.
This is a busy hands-on role working on high impact construction projects in Maryland. The Real Estate Project Manager is a rare blend who artfully balances the operational and project management aspects of the job and combines it with the external facing requirements of MEDCO. This person plays an integral role in supporting MEDCO in day to day construction project management matters including but not limited asset management, budget management, construction project management, performance report review and generation, and document/process review and analysis. You will work on multiple projects with changing priorities and represent MEDCO within the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. This position reports to the Director of Community Development.

Is This You:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in business management, management, construction management, or finance required and 5-8 years of construction project management-related experience. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). We are looking for a Project Management Professional (PMP certification). Because this is a "jack or jill of all trades" position, we need an individual who also has a background in commercial real estate, asset management, construction management, or economic development. Last but not least -- this position requires you to be detail-oriented, ability to work in a collaborative team environment, and ability to multi-task.
