As sunlight nurtures new life, we take the donor gift and transform it into new hope, bringing the light of healing to patients in our local hospitals through blood donations and to patients around the globe in need of tissue transplants. Because we believe that everyone deserves more time to live life to its fullest. The Cost Accounting Manager:Owns the standard cost process including updating material, labor, and overhead costs annually.Develops financial models to evaluate new customer proposals, and estimates costs of new products and processes.Supports CFO with financial models related to M&A activities.Plans, studies, and collects data to determine costs of business activity (raw material purchases, inventory and labor).Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.Performs audits of costs and prepares follow up reports.Creates reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products, processes and services. Five plus years relevant work experience in cost accounting.Work Environment/Physical Activities: Proficient in using various Microsoft Office applications.Demonstrated ability to:Interface effectively with all levels of management and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
