Title: Dishwasher/Light Prep Cook
Hourly Rate of Pay = $14.00 per hour.
SUMMARY
The Dishwasher is dedicated, organized and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Dishwashers work to take on tasks, such as washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash receptacles, sweep and mop floors, restocking items, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests. There will be some light food prep work to be completed between the dishwasher tasks as well as support in running prepared foods to the guests in the dining room and patio areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Sorts, scrapes, rinses, and places dishes though the dishwashing machine.
· Sanitizes kitchen.
· Scrubs large pots, pans, and any cooking utensils, as needed.
· Places clean dishes in their proper location.
· Mops and takes out the trash.
· Light preparation of food items as needed.
· Running food from kitchen to guests tables as needed.
· Completes all tasks, as assigned by the Head Chef and/or the Assistant Director of Operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory or management responsibilities are required for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
· Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen staff, and dining room personnel.
· Motivated, self-driven & detail oriented.
PREFERRED:
· High School Diploma, or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Excellent verbal communication skills should be professional and accurate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· No math skills are required for this position.
REASONING ABILITY
· Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are not required.

· No specific certifications or licenses are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Prolonged periods of standing at a work counter or kitchen cooking surfaces.
· Walking in the kitchen and short distances to entities on the property.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.

· 1.5 City blocks of building on the property, which include restaurant, coffee house, meeting venue, art gallery, bed-and-breakfast, bakery, coffee roaster and gardens.
· Multi-story buildings, with stairs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
· Starting Hourly Rate of Pay = $14.00
· Medical, Dental, Vision for Full-Time Employee = employer pays a minimum of 50% of employee’s premium, indexed annually based on ACA affordability guidelines. (Part-Time Employee is not eligible for health benefits.)
· Discounts on food are offered to the Employee at the Employee’s worksite, for the Employee’s meals or breaks while the Employee is on duty.
· Flexible schedule, as determined by the Kitchen Manager and/or the Director of Operations, and in accordance with restaurant needs.
· Holidays = Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are the only recognized holidays for the restaurants, although the Inn and Bakery are open; position availability is at the discretion of the Director of Operations and the General Manager.
