HPJ Industries, Inc. A leader in automotive packaging and recycling, is currently looking to hire a full-time thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with preventative maintenance, electrical, PLC programming, and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Maintain and repair the plastic shredder/grinder/separation operation.
• Maintain all supporting equipment; conveyors, PLCs, water systems, electrical systems etc.
• Maintain dunnage washer and all supporting equipment.
• Procure equipment and parts needed to complete the task at hand in an efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Perform maintenance of forklifts
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems
• Perform manual repairs when necessary

Skills

• Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently and in a team environment .
• Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints
• Previous experience or education in industrial hydraulics, electricity up to 480v, and machinery.
• Previous experience with forklift maintenance is a plus.
• A flexible schedule is a must. Although 1st shift, the need may arise to continue working past normal business hours

• High School graduate, GED, Technical school graduate or equivalent training. A two year technical degree in mechanical maintenance is preferred.

Schedule

• Full- Time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM must be flexible with working overtime if the need would arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
