HPC Fire Inspired is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager Near Miamisburg, OH

Basic Function: The focus of this position is to increase sales revenues, customer base, and profits for all HPC product lines in accordance with company objectives, by developing the distributor, dealer, and OEM sales partners and managing their needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure that you are meeting the following KPI’s:
    • Sales Trips
      • Weekly travel in territory T-TH, at HPC Office Monday and Friday
        • May include additional days and weekends based on customers’ needs, tradeshows, and other HPC Management direction.
        • HPC Management will provide travel schedule until employee is fully trained (~60-90 days)
    • Current Customer Calls (When in office)
      • Number of Current Customer Sales Calls Per Day – 32
    • Sales Prospect Calls (When in office)
      • Number of Sales Prospect Calls Per Day – 16
    • New Customer Conversion
      • New Customer Conversion Per Week – 1
    • Training and Education
      • HPC University Class Per Week – 1
      • Training and Education Center Setups Per Month – 1
    • Administrative
      • Expense Reports
      • Weekly Sales Performance
  • Participates in formulating long range goals and objectives. Coordinate with management to develop sales plan, budget, and schedule.
  • Understand client needs and provide appropriate sales solutions. Address client issues and queries in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for market share. Includes analyzing overall market, competitor analysis, reinforce relationships with existing customers, develop and implement strategies to develop new accounts and programs.
  • Develop creative sales techniques and tactics to meet business goals.
  • Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains competitors’ information including market and product analysis.
  • Collaborate with the marketing resources to support tradeshows, digital strategy and advertising media including product catalogs both in print and electronic.
  • Prepares and submits requests for new product development, sales estimates, and go to market strategies.
  • Establishes and maintains company costing and pricing as required to support selling function in conjunction with the Finance Department
  • Ensures the HPC brand as a premium product and the message is clearly articulated and understood by the sales force. Liaison with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • Supports the HPC values and culture.
  • Supports the company’s Lean initiatives and assists in Lean projects as required.
  • Follows all company practices and rules. Maintains clean and organized workspace.
  • Confers with VP to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Assist management on special projects as identified and assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration from four-year college or university is preferred but not required; equivalent experience, 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • Experience in hearth or building products market strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, both written and oral.
  • Goal oriented, high-energy individual, and self-motivated. Ability to take control of projects and express their opinion with the customer and/or teammates. Ability to influence others to achieve goals.
  • Organized to maintain project completion in a timely manner. Understands priorities and follow through in project management.
  • Excellent teamwork and communications and proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, MS project, etc.) is a plus.
