Primary Purpose of Job / Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for applying administrative assistance and oversight into maintaining quality assurance systems, procedures, data entry for tracking process inspection results, training, and auditing to all phases of Canton's Revert, Melting, and Grind processes. Work is normally performed in a shared work environment, divided between the shop floor and an office workspace. This position requires someone with strong communication skills and a keen willingness to learn. The candidate must also have demonstrated professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals. Strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with others is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• A quality technician performs quality auditing and duties such as gathering data, reporting on inspection results, and writing and revising procedures.
• Maintaining quality assurance systems, procedures, and equipment to meet customer and Company quality requirements.
• Learn and manage new Quality Management System ETQ Reliance and train team members and employees as needed.
• Assisting with and manage internal audits as scheduled including the preparation of audit reports, the initiation of associated corrective actions, and the maintenance of audit files.
• Perform and document quality compliance audits as necessary.
• Monitoring and tracking process and product control parameters to validate process reliability and capability. Participating in real-time process management support for daily, weekly, monthly reporting.
• Assist with continuous improvement, 5S and TPM as needed.
• Assist Quality Manager with Management Review preparations.

Basic Qualifications/skills

• Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED).
• Willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Acrobat Professional
• Previously demonstrated ability and desire to train others.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to learn basics of ISO/AS9100 quality systems standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications/skills

• Thorough understanding of ISO/AS9100 quality systems standards.
• Able to understand geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Quality oriented with a hands-on personality, "do it right the first time" personality.
• Ability to handle the walking, lifting, bending, stair climbing, and stooping required to perform the job.
• Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Sound planning and organizational skills.

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a shared work environment, divided between the shop floor and an office workspace.
This position also requires light physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as occasionally engaging in all motions necessary to inspect equipment, which may entail some lifting.
Qualifications

• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
