Howard Memorial Hospital is in need of a Director of Health Information Management.
This is a full time position that reports directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Directs and administers all activities of the HIM department
- Coordinates the department's function in accordance with accepted standards and administrative policies
- Performs coding functions for hospital billing requirements
- Minimum of two years college education
- Effective communicator with critical thinking skills
- Readily exhibits leadership skills
- RHIT or RHIA required; CCS preferred
- 5 to 7 years of management responsibility in a hospital HIM department
