Houzz is Hiring a Collections Coordinator Near California, CA

About the Role

Our Collections Coordinator will be detailed-oriented, versatile & hands-on in helping to support Houzz’s rapid growth. This person will be responsible for assisting with collections efforts on all fronts, providing analysis of receivables, contacting customers to optimize revenue collected and minimize bad debt.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the resolution and management of delinquent accounts
  • Monitor & maintain assigned accounts requesting to cancel service
  • Works directly with existing customers to resolve payment-related issues and negotiate payment terms & pricing consistent with company policies to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Effectively manage outstanding debt and consistently reach out to minimize accounts defaulting on payment
  • Own all collections processes for accounts that are due for cancellation. Send invoice reminders, conduct collections calls & track incoming payments and outstanding debt.
  • Interacts with sales support, customer service, and accounts receivable in reconciling accounts
  • Serves as an escalation point for customer payment disputes and makes recommendations for write-offs, account adjustments, and reconciliation
  • Review and respond to bank disputes, chargebacks & payment inquiries submitted by merchant banks
  • Assist Billing Operations with data processes, inbox inquiries & general support
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
  • Knowledge and experience with billing & collections procedures
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge and experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when executing tasks
  • Outstanding customer contact skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Background in software sales
