This is a very responsible administrative, supervisory, and accounting position involving the oversight and coordination of a variety of financial activities for Housing Authority of Brevard County. Activities associated with this position include assisting the Director of Finance with supervising all general accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll operations, maintenance, and approval of accounting records and interacting with departmental personnel to provide information, verify financial records and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Additional activities include assisting with the interpretation and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing rules and regulations and providing technical training and assistance to departmental staff.

Job related duties require strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills, supervisory experience, thorough knowledge of housing authority administrative and accounting transactions, dedicated attention to detail, and the ability to be discreet and handle confidential employee and financial information in an appropriate manner. Job performance is evaluated by the Director of Finance through review of the accuracy of files and accounting operations, knowledge of housing authority administrative and accounting operations, organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills and level of accounting, supervisory and administrative support provided for housing authority operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
