Job Title: Newborn Night Nanny

Duration: From Beginning of May until End of August

Schedule Options: 12-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, or 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM

Salary: $40 - $45 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Description:

A loving family in Arlington, VA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Nanny to provide exceptional care for their newborn baby. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing disposition, possess excellent newborn care skills, and demonstrate reliability and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide attentive and nurturing care to the newborn baby throughout the night.
2. Assist with feeding, burping, diaper changing, and soothing the baby to sleep.
3. Establish and maintain a safe and comfortable sleep environment for the baby.
4. Monitor the baby's health and well-being during the night, reporting any concerns to the parents.
5. Follow the parents' instructions regarding the baby's feeding and sleeping routines.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the nursery area.
7. Communicate effectively with the parents to provide updates on the baby's activities and any relevant information.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience working as a Night Nanny or in a similar role, preferably with newborns.
2. Excellent knowledge of newborn care practices, including feeding, diapering, and sleep training.
3. Strong ability to soothe and comfort newborns during nighttime hours.
4. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the parents.
6. CPR and first aid certification preferred.
7. Non-smoker.
8. Must provide references from previous childcare positions.
