Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year BHT experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience working in additions/mental health preferred.
- Working with the substance abuse population preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
- Monitor the behavior and activities of clients by patrolling the perimeter and dorms, reporting any concerns to clinical staff regarding the health, safety, or wellbeing of clients.
- Provide clients with training or assistance with basic daily living skills such as bathing and grooming as needed.
- Provide positive reinforcement and support clients.
- Monitors and documents clients’ activities, behavior patterns and medication
- Performs other BHT responsibilities as assigned.
