Description

DiRx Pharmacy Department is seeking Florida-registered Pharmacy Technicians for our fulfillment team. This team works to dispense and ship medications to our patients in all 50 states. The ideal candidate has pharmacy filling experience, the ability to multi-task effectively, strong work ethic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 

Second shift hours are 2:30 PM to 11 PM EST Sunday-Thursday. 

This position is FULL TIME and ON-SITE.

All technicians must maintain an active pharmacy technician registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy throughout employment.

DUTIES:

• Uses multiple software systems and websites to process orders with corresponding prescriptions
• Prescription data entry at least 40 WPM
• Fills and ships prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy and speed
• Makes outbound calls to prescribers, pharmacies, and patients
• Takes inbound calls from patients when the question pertains to the pharmacy department
• Escalate requests to the supervising Pharmacist if outside of the technician's scope of responsibility
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all functions of the position
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of FL
• Experience working in a mail-order pharmacy preferred

SKILLS:

• Good knowledge of prescription drugs, disease states, medical terminology, and ability to read and interpret prescriptions and directions
• Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to learn new computer systems and adapt to new processes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
• Possess problem-solving skills
