Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

*Training would be 7:00AM - 3:30PM*

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to steam and clean heavy duty trucks, machinery and other vehicles in preparation for the body shop.

EXPECTATIONS:

• Steam and clean trucks, trailers, engines, parts and miscellaneous items using high pressure steam hose in order to prep for repairs and painting.
• Clean the exterior of units and outside compartments.
• Drive trucks and other equipment into and out of the steam bay.
• Maintain and clean the steaming equipment.
• Clean the steam bay, and the surrounding area of the bay, at the end of each shift.
• Cross train to perform other duties in the body shop, as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of detailing/cleaning of trucks.
• Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation to and from work.
• Minor mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Basic computer skills is a plus.
• Keen eye for detail and quality results.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical, vibrations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
• Works indoors and out. Exposed to outside weather during all seasons.
• Exposed to steam build up in wash bay.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED

COMPENSATION:

• Competitive Hourly Pay $16.00 to $18.00 (Based on Experience)
