Hotel AKA Alexandria, a luxury hotel in Old Town Alexandria, is seeking a Barista-Server to join our a.café team. The Barista will create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, provide guests with exceptional, quality service and creating memorable experience.

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide friendly and efficient service.
• Offer product recommendations and answer customer inquiries about coffee, beverages, and menu items.
• Skillfully prepare and serve a range hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages Tailoring coffee beverages to meet customer preferences.
• Clean and sanitizing work areas, utensils, equipment as well as service and seating areas
• Order, receive and distributing stock supplies ensuring adequate inventory levels.
• Accurately process customer payments, handling cash transactions, and operating POS systems to finalize orders and provide receipts.
• Collaborate with other café staff to ensure smooth operations, teamwork, and efficient customer service.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in coffee-making equipment and preparation, including knowledge of different coffee types, espresso extraction techniques, latte art, and beverage customization.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, including taking orders, preparing beverages, serving food, and attending to customer needs promptly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests
• Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
